23 Dec 5 Things to do in Genting Highlands (besides gambling)
Looking for a fun place to escape the city and hot weather? Genting Highlands is definitely your best option. Located just 45 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands has always been Malaysians’ and Singaporeans’ favourite holiday destination. You get to enjoy the cool weather, good food and maybe try your luck at the only casino in the country.
Here’s some of my personal favourites:

1. Shop till you drop at Genting Highlands Premium Outlet
Who doesn’t like a good bargain? My family loves this place because we get to purchase branded goods at discounted price! What makes this outlet different from others is the weather – you get to enjoy shopping without shedding a sweat. There are nearly 150 brands here, from Adidas, Aigner, Coach, Furla, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade New York, Michael Kors, Moschino, Polo Ralph Lauren, Superdry, Tumi and more. You can literally shop till you drop.

The Chin Swee Cave Temple is a Taoist temple situated in the most scenic site of Genting Highlands. The temple attracts many local and foreign devotees from nearby countries like Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and China. You get to enjoy the panoramic view of the greenery and the gentle cool breeze on the outdoor area. There are multiple spots for the Gram too. 3. Snap your #OOTD at Sky Avenue
There are plenty to shop, eat and play at the Genting lifestyle mall. 4. Indulge in fancy seafood at Burger & Lobster
If you’re feeling fancy or have some extra cash to spare, come enjoy a feast at Burfer and Lobster. When Burger & Lobster first opened in Genting Highlands, people had to line up for hours before tasting the iconic combos. The restaurant chain started on a London rooftop in 2011 when 4 schoolmates came up with a brilliant idea – they’d open a restaurant using just two ingredients – burger and lobster. The restaurant turned out to be a success and has since expanded its footprint to New York, Dubai, Bangkok, Kuwait and Singapore. We’re lucky to have one at Genting Highlands. Lots of foodies recommended the lobster roll and chilli lobster. I’ll be sure to try them out the next time I’m in Genting.

5. Get up close with your DC Super Heroes
Fans of DC comics will be stoked to be here. Every corner in the restaurant is filled with Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman, even the utensils and tableware are carefully curated to bring you into the fantasy world of the superheroes. Savour the superman-themed cakes and burgers surrounded by your favourite superheroes. The café also serves superhero-themed coffee art. Beef burger and chicken carbonara are among some of the recommended choices. A TripAdvisor user deemed this café as the“nice place to eat and hang out after a day of exploring Genting Highland.” Your kids will love this place!
